A continuation from “Cold Shower”. Enjoy!
Blaine sighs, listening to the muffled laughter filtering through the thin walls. He strikes another chord on his guitar idly, trying in vain to tune the noise out. He’s thought about walking down the hallway to Rachel’s room and asking her to tone it down, but the idea of facing Kurt again after knowing that the boy had been naked in his room, made Blaine’s thoughts go towards a very different situation of having Kurt in his room naked…
He interrupts his thought pattern with a quick shake of his head. The laughter rings out again, and Blaine can hear Kurt’s soft, delicate voice over Rachel’s high-pitched giggles. They’re watching a musical, and every so often Blaine hears snippets of them singing if he strains his ears. And he does frequently, almost pathetically desperate to hear Kurt sing.
Eventually, the noise dies down, signaling to Blaine that the movie is over. The low murmur of voices is heard for a while and suddenly stops, and he assumes that one of them finally fell asleep. He places his guitar carefully on its stand and glances at the clock, noting the late hour. He rolls under his covers, finally attempting to sleep himself.
It’s a very poor attempt on Blaine’s part. Without the guitar to distract him, he finds it difficult to keep his thoughts from straying to Kurt, who at the most is only a couple feet of plaster and drywall away from him. He rolls around restlessly for a while, shifting positions every few minutes and willing himself to go to sleep, but finally gives up. He groans, frustrated, in the dark, empty room, and then finally gets up, navigating his way to his door.
